Meet Our 2024 Featured Artists

The Gen Con Art Show annually brings to light the extraordinary talent and creativity of artists from across the fantasy, sci-fi, comics, gaming spheres, and beyond.

This year, we are proud to highlight the exceptional work of Crystal Sully, Dustin Panzino, and Sean Murray. Get to know these remarkable individuals, marvel at their captivating creations, and visit their exhibits during Gen Con Indy, from August 1–4.

Crystal Sully

Crystal Sully, also known as the “Mother of Monsters,” is an award-winning illustrator and concept artist who brings creatures to life for some of the most popular properties in the gaming industry.

This includes Critical Role (Call of the Netherdeep), Magic: The Gathering (Lost Caverns of Ixalan, Lord of the Rings, Fallout, Bloomburrow), Dungeons & Dragons (Dragonlance, Fizban’s Treasury of Dragons, Tasha’s Cauldron, Phandelver, unannounced projects), Star Wars: Legion, and more on her website CrystalSully.com

Dustin Panzino

Dustin Panzino is a freelance visual development artist and animator currently working in the gaming industry based in Los Angeles.

Graduating from RCAD in 2020, his work revolves around aesthetic world-building with a mix of indie Eastern and Western influences unified around foggy visuals unified with shape language and the use of colors. See more of Dustin’s work here.

Sean Murray

Sean Andrew Murray is a freelance illustrator, concept artist, and teacher. His work has appeared in numerous games and publications, including Dungeons and Dragons, Magic: The Gathering, Heavy Metal Magazine, Court of the Dead, and Sandman: The House of Whispers.

As a concept artist, Sean has worked on several fantasy video game titles, including Dungeons and Dragons Online, Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, and Source of Madness. In film and television, he has worked on titles such as Carnival Row, Trollhunters, Slenderman, Minions 2, and several upcoming projects for Netflix.

Sean also self-publishes books and games related to his personal world-building project called “Gateway.
